Benefits & Assistance Basic Needs  Find programs that provide food, clothing and diapers.   Day Care Services  Search for assistance with child or adult care.   District Programs  Find information about food stamps, health services (Medicaid and Medicare), legal help in getting child support, unemployment benefits and help, and other DC assistance programs.   Energy Assistance Apply for assistance with home energy needs. The DC Energy Office offers a fuel assistance program to help  low-income residents whose electric or gas services have been terminated.    Financial Assistance  Find programs that can help with rent, utilities, credit card balances and other expenses in an emergency.
